bassinbrooksy These baits were only about 5 to 6 inches long, too short for quick strike rigs and the flag went up behind my back while packing to go home so it may have been up.for 7 minutes or so before I saw it. Fish gone when I got there :(

basshunter93 i didnt mean like a double treble rig i will usually use a single treble when using a shiner ill put a one of the barbs through the belly or top of the back and let it hang

bassinbrooksy I'm pretty sure that's illegal :( if u want to use a single treble for a bait rig I believe you have to use a spoon so that its considered a lure and not just a single treble bait rig. In order to legally use trebles for live bait in ma it has to be a multi hook bait harness designed to catch one fish, single trebles on a main line are a no no

bassinbrooksy When rigging big baits like perch or suckers ill make a two hook quick strike harness out of 40# fluoro with a single hook threw the lip and a treble in the back so it sits level. I also bend one hook on the treble at a 90 degree so when its in the baits back it can pull out easily once it gets bit so the bait can fall away from the hook
