Big West / Grassy West Plymouth, Ma.

Very windy and choppy. Caught all are fish on green pumpkin Spanky's / 6" perch slug-o / 6" salt & pepper slug-o. Caught them in back coves in weeds / and over hanging trees / close the shore. Caught 2 Good ones in back cove near grassy west over rock piles. Tried throwing frogs no luck 1 bite and that was it. Threw a sweet beaver plastic into heavy mats and caught 1 bass and a pickerel that ripped my bait to shred'. All and all a good day for fishing. I went out with my friend on my 12' flat bottom and trolling motor.

Comments

  • The Spanky's I use are them Green Pumpkin and the Black w/red Fleck. Wacky Rigged (just let it fall).

  • great detailed report

  • I used the texaposer hooks for the slug-o's. I hook them weedless the belly towards the bottom and dead stick it most of the time. Wait several seconds and twitch twitch it let it sink. remember it is a injured bait fish. I also used the sinking slug-o's so I can get through the weeds and mat. It sinks faster than the regular ones. I used the 6 / 4-1/2 and 4" ones. The perch colors are the best. I use them all the time with the spanky's and the whipsticks. even when fishing is tough I always catch them on the slug-o my go to bait.
